Manager (Mechanical)

Responsibilities :

1.Preparation of Datasheets / Specification / Requisition for major Rotating Equipment and packages and co-ordinate with the disciplines for obtaining necessary inputs.

2.Preparation of Tech. Bid Evaluation of Vendor offers for major Rotating Equipment and packages.

3.Review Vendor drawings offers for major Rotating Equipment and packages.

4.Carrout inspection and Attend FAT for major Rotating Equipment and packages as required.

5.Support Production and Brownfield teams for installation and pre-commissioning for major Rotating Equipment and packages as required.

6.Ensuring and coordinating with the Design team to adhere / comply to all technical, quality, contractual and execution aspects of the project.

7.Supporting (where required) the Project Engineering Manager in the preparation of quality assurance plan or any other project tasks.

8.Preparing Final Deliverable List, Schedule and Budget of the project.

9.Responsible for preparation and issue of Key Documents of the discipline.

10.Assigning works to the Design Team and meeting Project Deliverable requirements.

11.Ensuring adequate flow of design information to the Design Team of the Project.

12.Ensuring that the Engineering Design Deliverables are delivered as scheduled and within the budget man-hours.

13.Updating weekly and monthly progress report for the project.

14.Reviewing along with the Project Engineering Manager and Client, all the needs and technical aspects of the project.

15.Responsible for review and supply of inputs to all inter-discipline interfaces and other.

16.External agencies like T&I, Certification, etc. of the project.

17.Responsible for all In-House Interfaces with Procurement, Construction, Commissioning etc. for the project.

18.Close-out of all Holds and Punch-lists pertaining to the discipline.

19.Originate discipline EDNs/TQs, KDCRs, IDNs, etc. for the project.

20.Additional responsibilities as Discipline Head as and when assigned.

21.Responsible for smooth functioning of Inter-discipline, Procurement, Fabrication and External Back-up or Specialist study interfaces for the project assigned.

22.Responsible for Internal and External Quality Audit and corrective actions related to the project assigned.

Qualifications:

1.Male / Female.

2.Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

3.Shall have 12 – 15 years of experience in handling Rotating Equipment and Packages including compressors, engines and Turbines out of which min. 8 – 10 years in Oil and gas projects.

4.Should have at least 6 – 8 years of experience as a lead engineer.

5.Extensive hands-on experience in design, selection and engineering of Rotating equipment viz. pumps, compressors, blowers, turbines, etc. and process and utility packages.

6.Should be proficient with the codes and standard for design, selection, inspection and testing including API, BS, ASME, HIS, and etc.

7.Shall be able to independently gather required inputs from concerned disciplines, prepare engineering documents viz. specification, datasheets, reports, calculations. etc., prepare requisitions, perform technical bid evaluation and carrying vendor document review and interfacing with other disciplines for the required inputs.

8.Good knowledge of inspection and testing requirement of rotating equipment and process and utility packages.

9.Good knowledge for Installation and Commissioning of rotating equipment.

10.Shall have 12 – 15 years of experience in handling Rotating Equipment and Packages process and utility packages.

11.Good knowledge of selection and specification of Materials is also essential.

12.Good command of English both written and spoken.
